From the very heart of La Vega Baja of the Segura River, in Benejúzar, our oils are produced combining ancient traditions with the most advanced technologies, making the most of both of them. It is only in this way that we can extract the essence of the land on the farms of Pinohermoso, Lo Rubes and the emblematic La Zarzuela.

The fertile and high-quality lands that make up La Vega Baja of the Segura River, recognized as the Orchard of Europe, have been able to adopt within it, the roots of our arbequina olive groves and have endowed the final result with a character and an imprint never seen so far.

In the Sala López family we are proud of our land and its history and we want to reflect it in everything we do. The year 1573 is the year of birth of Jaime Rosell y Desprats, First Lord of Benejúzar, title granted in the mid-16th century by the King of Spain Felipe II. May our edition of the extra virgin olive oil “Señorío de Jaime Rosell 1573” serve as a sincere tribute to one of the key figures in the history of Benejúzar.

The essence of each and every family that have been forging the designs of this land lies inside of each of our bottles, seasoned with simplicity, patience, respect, enthusiasm, tradition and roots.

TASTING NOTES

Extra virgin olive oil intensely fruity with predominance of green olives. The olfactory sensations of banana bark, vegetable leaf, artichoke and herb predominate over the ripe banana and apple, all this among nuances of aromatic herbs and nuts. Oil slightly sweet with medium bitterness level, long-lasting and a bit astringent. To complete the imposing sensation of vegetable freshness, tardily pungency appears growing up to more than light and resulting in an oil with character, structured and very long. The aftertaste is long, like a vegetal curtain, with wood and resin balsamic notes. The sensation in mouth is a little physical, but pleasant, very lingering and it extraordinarily complements the vegetal olfactory sensation.

This extra virgin olive oil blends several varieties of olives, such as Arbequina Verde and Arbequina Madura, with some local varieties: Alfafarenca, Blanqueta and Manzanilla.

Crafted and designed exclusively for the family who owns and operates Señorío de Jaime Rosell, it is a unique set of bottles which we now wish to share with our most distinguished customers.

Made with olives of the Arbequina variety, the oil Señorío de Jaime Rosell SUMMUM features an early elaboration. Near the beginning of October, when the olives are still very green, in conjunction with our technical personnel, a selection of the most suitable olive trees is made to start the harvesting.

This early oil extraction carries with it the sacrifice of the low yield to be obtained but this is compensated with the predominant flavour and aroma of freshly cut grass that our early oil Señorío de Jaime Rosell SUMMUM gives off.

TASTING NOTES

Premium extra virgin olive oil, solid yellow with green hues, enduring and intense, medium density.

Intensely fruity, with notes reminiscent of ripe bananas, apples and nuts, with a complex bouquet of rich nuances of greens, cut grass and barks and balsamic notes of aromatic plants, rushes, green walnut and citrus fruits.

Its taste of fresh ripe and green fruit juice is sweet in the mouth, not very bitter and slightly pungent. Smooth and somewhat consistent, long and entertaining thanks to the medium density aftertaste of green and ripe fruit, which lingers on the palate, together with a slight sensation of pungency, vaguely reinforced by faint and delayed piquant notes.

 

Its main feature lies in the fact that the olives are picked at the peak of their ripeness, resulting in a unique and distinctive aroma, texture, color and taste.

No mechanical equipment is used for the harvest, olives are picked manually and transported immediately to our mill where our precious oil is extracted at low temperature and kept in cold stores and tanks with inert atmosphere until its bottling.

It comes in a special and limited edition.

TASTING NOTES

Extra Virgin olive oil with a strong fruity green olive aroma. Remarkable nuances, reminiscent of green fruits such as bananas, almonds and apples wrapped in a fresh aroma of freshly cut grass. Pollen and chamomile notes are detected. Bitterness is scarcely present, while pungency appears at the end, creating a menthol sensation that deeply enriches the oral cavity. Very pleasant entrance in the mouth, leaving a sensation of softness with a green almond aftertaste. The texture in the mouth is fluid. Its sensory characteristics reflect the nuances of the variety to which it belongs within the range of green fruits. In the visual phase, it shows an intense green hue that makes it highly appreciated to provide colour in any of its future uses of direct consumption.

Our “Picual “ olive tree variety whose origin gives our oil, by weather and land conditions , a recognizable personality and difference. Variety: “Picual” Olive tree vigorous plantwith short branches, and large follicle development. The obtained juice gives as a result a strong character with an intense and balanced taste.

TASTING NOTES

Golden yellow colour, transparent, clean and bright with greenish reflections. Aromas of medium to high intensity, fresh, grass freshly cut olive branch, tomato, fig leaves and fresh green almond.

The taste is fruity, fresh and balanced, plant nutty, with a sweet entry leads to slight pungency and pleasant bitter finish of good persistence. Very rich for raw consumption with salt on toast.

This Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a blend of Arbequina and Picual varieties. It is a high-quality oil for daily use at home or in restaurants which do not want to miss out on the value of our oils. Enjoy its taste in salads and also in more elaborate dishes.

Full-bodied oil, strong, perfect for cooking at high temperature since it preserves its properties after several frying cycles.

The most noticeable feature of Picual over other varieties is its bitterness and, if the oil is young, also its piquancy. When the oil is the product of an early harvest, its main feature is a range of herbaceous aromas such as olive leaf, grass, fig tree, tomato and tomato plant.

This mild olive oil combines extra virgin olive oil and refined olive oil. Recommended for giving fried food a mild taste without losing the oil’s characteristics and to avoid overpowering the taste of food.

OLIVE-POMACE OIL

Is the oil comprising the blend of the oil obtained by treating olive pomace and virgin olive oils.

Ideal for direct consumption as well as for the food industry and cooking (sauces, fried foods, stews, dressings, pastries, etc.).

 

VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

This oil comprises the blend of oils obtained from the fruit of the olive tree solely by mechanical or other physical means.

OLIBEN for deep fryers

Especially recommended for deep fryers, this oil combines a range of vegetable oils (refined sunflower oil with high oleic acid content, refined seed oil) in varying proportions, antioxidants, antifoaming agents and, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, palm oil or any type of hydrogenated fat.
